Today, we're going deep into business growth, but from the lens most strategies ignore. If you're building while navigating identity, scarcity, and visibility, this one's for you.

The hidden costs of growth

Most business growth advice starts with systems, pricing, and scale. But if you’re a queer, Indigenous, first-gen, or otherwise marginalized founder, there’s a whole layer underneath. There are other considerations, like:

  • The credibility tax: Having to prove your legitimacy over and over.

  • Emotional labour: Being the face of your community and the CEO.

  • Visibility tension: Needing to be seen to grow, but not always feeling safe doing so.

These aren’t excuses. They’re real costs. And naming them is part of outgrowing them.
